About our Web System
SLAB500
is a custom designed, modular web system, with an integrated front-end cms or content management system. Created with the visual, performing artist, author or small business in mind, SLAB500 lets you update any part of your uniquely designed site from any browser. SLAB500 sites work like a fully integrated application, with a self-organizing structure allowing you to edit the page you are looking at, without logging into a separate back end admin area.
TAKE CONTROL
You can login to your own site as a super-user to easily add and edit news, articles and events. You can upload new images, delete or archive old ones.
KEEP IN TOUCH
SLAB500 allows you to maintain an email list and send mailings directly from your website. These emails can automatically include information from other sections of your website, like upcoming events or recent news articles. Members of your mailing list can also view a "members only" section if desired.
MODULAR
Most SLAB500 sites start with 5 basic modules, Home, News, Events, Gallery, and Contact. New modules can be quickly and easily added to your site as you need them. Please see our order page for our list of modules. New modules are frequently created, please sign up on our mailing list for updates to the system.
CUSTOM DESIGN
Unlike bland 'template' driven sites, the look of your site is individually designed by one of our award winning designers, or we can marry our site with a design by another designer or to your existing design.
ONE STOP SHOP
Since our system relies on common script libraries, we must host your site, for you to take advantage of the low cost of a SLAB500 site. However, our rates are competitive and we can easily be reached for customer service. Our low monthly hosting fee includes automatic upgrades, email addresses, and site maintenance.
